As many of you know who’ve been a part of any of the events run by the National MS Society, one of the best aspects is that it brings people together. Friends old and new gather for a great cause, and in the process, are met with great support and camaraderie that they’d never get to experience on their own.
Recently, team captain and MS fighter, Lexi Franklin, was approached by the NMSS to participate in Bike MS 2010 as a Bike Champion. Various riders are paired up with individuals who’ve been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and the participants ride for them in the event. Champions participate by decorating bandanas for the riders, supporting them with signs and sweet cheering sections at the event, and swapping stories to let the riders know exactly where all their hard work is going. Lexi was honored to be asked to be a Bike Champion, and to quote her, is planning to show her support with a whole lot of “zazzle”!
If you’d like to make a contribution to any of Lexi’s riders for the Bike MS event, here are the links to their donation pages.
